Abstract:

I will describe single neuron recordings in the human hippocampal formation and how neurons in this area form and store memories.I will also discuss how the coding by these neurons is completely different to what has been described in other species and how it may constitute a key aspect of human intelligence.

Rodrigo Quian Quiroga教授以大脑的记忆编码和信息处理原理为主要研究方向，通过记录不同任务时多个单神经元电信号和局部场电位信号，发现了仅对给定个体概念做出响应的“概念细胞”(或“珍妮弗安妮斯顿神经元”)，揭示了人类大脑内侧颞叶区域创建和巩固概念与陈述性长期记忆的原理。Quian Quiroga教授多年来在Science、Nature、Ce1l等顶级杂志上发表多篇文章，研究受到《科学美国人》、《纽约时报》、《华盛顿邮报》等全球媒体的关注(e.g.Science,2019,Cell, 2019； Current Biology, 2020； TiCS, 2020：Nature Review Neuroscience., 2012： Scientific American, 2013)，H指数：64；引用：20000。Rodrigo Quian Quiroga现任上海交通大学医学院附属瑞金医院广慈教授，入选英国医学科学院院士、国家高层次人才计划、长江讲席教授等项目。
