Abstract

BMC Global and Public Health is a newly launched selective BMC flagship journal that sits alongside the other BMC flagships (incl. BMC Medicine, BMC Biology, Genome Biology and Genome Medicine). The journal was launched last year and publishes impactful research, key advances and expert opinion in all areas of global and public health. In this session, a brief introduction of the BMC Portfolio will be provided first, followed by details of this new public health journal including our aims and scope, areas of interest, article types we accept, the collaborative editorial model with both in house editors and editorial board members, content we have published and special issues we have opened. There would be a Q&A session after a short presentation. Any question about the new journal or the career as an academic editor is welcomed.

Bio

李根在中国科学院心理研究所获得应用心理学博士学位。 他的研究兴趣主要集中在创伤后应激障碍（PTSD）的流行病学和遗传基础。之后，他于 2021 年加入上海纽约大学全球健康公平研究中心，担任全球公共卫生博士后研究员，从事公共心理健康研究。 他与澳门大学合作，领导了世界卫生组织数字心理健康干预抑郁症的临床研究。 他在心理健康相关期刊发表了40余篇SCI/SSCI论文，一作的研究成果发表在Lancet Regional Health - Western Pacific、Translational Psychiatry和BMJ Mental Health等期刊上。 2023 年，李根加入 BMC Global and Public Health期刊，担任创刊副主编，负责包括心理健康、临床试验、统计建模和实施科学在内的多个领域的内容。 他还对健康的社会决定因素、公共卫生人力资源和卫生经济学等主题感兴趣。李根目前在施普林格-自然（上海）办事处工作。
